Care to share what’s on your Christmas wishlist?
We’re about as busy as Santa’s workshop at the Keybie Cafe, with new designs we’re finally releasing (after a long blog hiatus)!
.
There’s just something about cats. We’ve covered cat items, cat cafes, cat apps—well. Not cat apps.
I’ll say it again: I’m a dog lover, through and through, but while my heart goes out to wagging tails and wet kisses, the allure of soft, purring cats gets me once in a while. One excellent example is the cat app of utter cuteness that is Neko Atsume.
I can’t. Stop. Playing it. I mean, look at this adorable art style!!
All these adorable kitties!!
I may not watch as much anime as I once did (I went through my own weaboo phase, believe it), but I can name a few titles that don’t fail to make me feel like a high schooler again. Yu Yu Hakusho, Gensoumaden Saiyuki–these are a few of the titles I grew up with, and are so good that I can rewatch them now and feel nothing but happiness that I was able to watch them at all in a time where dial-up internet was the only thing available.
The age of anime CDs and DVDs. The struggle was real.
I’d happily rewatch those titles, and even reread their manga counterparts (which I’ve come to prefer doing, since manga offers a whole new dimension for story character portrayal), but you can only do so much with going through the same storylines more than thrice.
So imagine my utter glee when one of my most fondly remembered, absolute favorite anime titles is coming back–with a sequel!!
Natsuki Takaya, Fruits Basket’s mangaka, will be launching the Fruits Basket another sequel manga on the free “HanaLaLa online” website this September 4.

It started with toys with feelings, then moved onto bugs with feelings, then monsters, fish, cars, rats, robots, dogs, and even scotland with feelings–and now, we have feelings with feelings.
Pixar’s always been able to bring out the feels while delivering good jokes and amazing animation. The stories their movies tell onscreen are entertaining for children and grown-ups alike, and if the buzz about Inside Out hasn’t already given us enough hints, Inside Out’s just as awesome as we all thought it would be since the preview was released.
I personally love Disgust, and my brother has a soft spot for Sadness, but there’s something to love about all the little voices helping us all get through life.
Want a little Joy in your collection? Maybe a cute bit of Sadness? These Inside Out keybies are ready for your collections in our online store!
We also have a mini-keybie set with all 5 of the little voices in your head all together!
That said, did you know that there are scenes from the movie that were apparently not included in the final cut?
When in Manila shares several clips that weren’t in the movie–
Such as Riley’s first date!
And make sure you don’t scratch your eyes without washing your hands or applying alcohol, first!
We’re adding even more keybies this week for #What’sNewWednesday, from new anime keybies to more game keybies!

There are so many super cute sea creatures! Since we love cute things at the Keybie Cafe, we’re putting together 3 sea cuties that’ll put a smile on your face. There’s a lot to learn about these adorable sea-dwellers, so we also compiled some facts to share. Some of those facts even explain their cuteness.
Let us know which one you like best in the comments!
. –And are adopted into good homes by anyone who finds them!
This little project by the Geeky Hooker started when they began crocheting lumpy little characters, which they gave away to friends.
Eventually, they started leaving them in random places in San Diego with handwritten notes attached, letting passerby know that these critters are up for adoption.
People in the area who find them can take a crochet character, and officially give them a good home.

Chimichangas!
